SCS Engineers is looking for a summer 2025 intern for our Tampa, FL office. SCS's goal is to provide a student intern with valuable technical and engineering business experience through our diverse range of projects for the clients we serve. Also, we believe this opportunity provides a student intern the ability to explore the beginnings of their own career path. As an intern, you may work with us on landfill design, landfill permitting, environmental regulation compliance reporting, soil and groundwater remediation, data management, and stormwater projects. You will work 40 hours per week typically. The paid internship will start in May/June 2025 and end in August/September 2025. Your exact start and end date will be determined to fit with your school schedule.

You will contribute to our projects by assisting SCS project teams with the following tasks:

• Supporting field staff with data collection and documentation
• Environmental and construction materials sample collection
• Laboratory data management and review
• Compliance reporting
• Preparation of reporting figures, graphs, tables, and maps
• Reporting and calculation preparation
• CAD drafting

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil, environmental, biological/biosystems or geological engineering and graduating by June 2027 required. (Preference for those candidates graduating by June 2026).
• Must be willing to live in the Tampa area for Summer 2025 (housing allowance will not be provided)
• Solid technical and computer skills (AutoCAD experience preferred)
• Previous teamwork experience required.
• A valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing required.
• Ability to travel overnight for work outside of the SCS office required.
• Preference for candidates who demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in consulting and professional licensure upon graduation.

USD $18.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
