We are looking for a CQA Project Manager responsible for managing the safe, effective execution of work required to construct and/or operate, maintain, and monitor various environmental control systems. This position typically spends more than 5% of their time conducting field activities with other field staff or by themselves.
This position will be based out of our Little Rock, Arkansas office, and can be hybrid.
Manage project execution, including the preparation of site-specific health and safety plans, review and approval of daily Crew Activity Plans (CAP), and preparation of work scopes, schedules, budgets, and contracts.
Ensure financial performance of assigned projects and manage client expectations and satisfaction with work performed.
Communicate with the project team, including clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, and subcontractors.
Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services through purchase and service order processes.
Review, approve, and analyze field data based on project types.
Provide direction on operational adjustments to environmental control system components based on data review and analysis.
Prepare, review, and submit routine operations reports to the client.
Assist with data preparation for regulatory reporting as requested.
Prepare and submit client invoices, billing forecasts, and accruals as appropriate.
Field management of multiple smaller projects or one to two large projects.
Ensure the quality of project work and external/internal documents associated with that work per company Quality Management System (QMS).
Understand, adopt, and actively promote the company’s behavior-based health and safety program.
Ensure staff have required personal protective equipment and that field teams have the necessary safety equipment.
Lead or participate in tailgate safety meetings prior to commencing fieldwork.
Conduct safety assessments of field conditions and provide recommendations to clients and staff to account for site hazards.
Investigate and prepare reports following any health and safety incidents.
Review, approve, and submit employee timesheets and expense reports of direct reports.
Support direct-reporting employee performance, including onboarding, coaching, mentoring, disciplinary actions, and annual performance reviews.
Participate in the talent acquisition process for new hires, including interviews and application reviews.
Engage in business development activities, including interaction with potential and existing clients, bid/proposal preparation, and regional trade shows.
Foster working relationships with other SCS Business Units, including Corporate, by actively exchanging technical and business development information.
8+ years of relevant OM&M and/or construction project management experience.
40-hour Health and Safety, 8-hour Management and Supervisor, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.20, Confined Space Entry, and Trench Excavation Safety training.
Must have an unrestricted, valid driver’s license.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of construction, OM&M, and troubleshooting of environmental control systems.
Experience motivating, mentoring, coaching, and training others.
Strong capabilities in problem-solving and data analysis.
Proficient in construction drawings, plans, specifications, schematics, equipment manuals, and system operation and maintenance manuals.
