We are searching for a Project Scientist for our Coconut Creek office who seeks to advance their career through training, mentoring, and experience in the field and office. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team-focused, and humble. Guided by these principles, we continue to grow our already well-established Coconut Creek office.

 

As a Project Scientist, you will work with a team of project professionals to help our clients succeed by implementing solutions to address a wide variety of environmental challenges, potentially including but not limited to:

  • Soil and Groundwater Remediation
  • Brownfield/Real Estate Redevelopment
  • Environmental Site Assessments/Due Diligence
  • Industrial/Manufacturing Compliance
  • Liquids Management
  • Environmental Permitting and Compliance
  • Solid Waste Management

How you can make an impact

  • Apply intensive and diversified knowledge and practices in environmental services and related fields.
  • Industrial wastewater, and stormwater permitting and design, including construction plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Prepare permit applications and/or regulatory agency submittals and develop responses with supporting documentation.
  • Collect samples from hazardous and non-hazardous sites, including soil, air, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas.
  • Oversee drilling activities involving monitoring and well installation, borehole logging, well development, and sampling.
  • Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations to ensure compliance with construction documents.
  • Complete quality control reviews on all work products (reports, design plans, design calculations, data, etc.) prior to submission.
  • Independently coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients with project manager support and oversite.
  • Effectively communicate with other technical professionals in a team setting to achieve client goals.
  • Coordinate with GIS and CAD drafters for design plans/figures or use AutoCAD or ArcGIS for basic design plans/figures.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental or related science is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant environmental experience required, including remediation design, Florida regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Miami Dade County DERM experience is preferred
  • A valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing is required.

Pay Range

USD $75,000.00 - USD $85,000.00 /Yr.
