What we are looking for

The Developer will drive improvements to software products, working individually or as part of a team, to ensure user experience excellence. The individual will take part in the full software development lifecycle and is responsible for user/business system requirements, responding to outages, creating application system models, and analyzing and testing existing software for improved performance and maintenance.

 

As a SharePoint developer, you must create customized SharePoint solutions for our company. You will also be responsible for configuring and customizing SharePoint systems according to company specifications, building scalable web applications, writing, and modifying code, debugging software, and training staff. To ensure success as a SharePoint developer, you should have working knowledge of SharePoint and MS Office software, proficiency with front-end programming languages (e.g., HTML, images, CSS files, and JavaScript files), and the ability to solve complex software issues. A top-class SharePoint developer can create clean, scalable SharePoint websites that meet all company design and functionality requirements. In this role, you’ll need experience converting processes into SharePoint workflows, interfacing with project managers, and following best practices in the systems engineering life cycle.

The Developer should exercise independent judgment and be able to complete tasks with little to no direction from management. You will work out of our Salt Lake City office.

  • May work independently or with other staff to complete assigned tasks.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain front-end applications, designing and building responsive, scalable, and efficient interfaces using various front-end technologies, including modern JavaScript technologies like React, and leveraging platforms such as SharePoint and Power Automate for specific integration and workflow automation needs.
  • Ensure the design and development of technology solutions properly fulfill all business requirements.
  • Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
  • Test, maintain, and recommend software improvements to ensure robust functionality and optimization.
  • Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code, and/or perform unit testing.
  • Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability and performance.
  • Resolve complex technical design issues
  • Develop technical specifications and plans.
  • Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges.
  • Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and reports as requested.
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
  • Configuring the company SharePoint systems to specified requirements.
  • Designing, coding, and implementing scalable applications.
  • Extending SharePoint functionality with forms, web parts, and application technologies.
  • Testing and debugging code.
  • Build workflow using SharePoint Designer, and PowerApps/Flow
  • Reviewing website interface and software stability.
  • Troubleshooting software issues.
  • Maintaining and updating SharePoint applications.
  • Providing systems training to staff and customers as needed
  • Contract with vendors as needed for additional development 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor'sdegree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.Proficiency in SharePoint Server, SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework (SPFx) as well as JavaScript technologies such as React.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sharepoint, Power Apps, or Power Automate (i.e. Power Perform tools) 
    • Expertise in building custom applications, forms, and connectors using PowerApps.
    • Strong understanding of business process automation using Power Automate.
    • Experience in creating visually compelling reports and dashboards with Power BI.
    • Knowledge of SharePoint REST API, CSOM, and PowerShell scripting.
    • Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
    • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer) preferred.
    • SharePoint configuration and customization, including permissions management, site administration.
    • Experience with general Microsoft 365 apps, and integration techniques, including the Graph API
    • Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks. helpful 
    • Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $131,000.00 /Yr.
